Eye treatment facilities in the rural areas of Bangladesh are very poor as 90% of the doctors and paramedics are urban-based. In north region of Bangladesh, the eye treatment condition is very worst. In view of this matter, the “Mobarak Ali Charitable Trust” took initiatives before 16 (sixteen) years back to arrange free eye treatment for poor people through satellite camp in most villages of Thakurgoan district. For the time being and people’s need, we have dreamed to establish an eye hospital. And, fortunately on 16th August, 2023, we have launched this eye hospital in the name of “Mobarak Ali Eye Hospital” which was located at Pirganj, Thakurgoan. The “Mobarak Ali Eye Hospital” (shortly MAEH) was licensed and approved by Directorate General of Health Services on 22 November, 2022. Now, it provides eye care services to all classes of the community through satellite camp, organized in the remote most areas and follow up eye patients at outdoor of hospital.
